The annual Creek to Bay Cleanup is one of the largest environmental cleanups in San Diego County during Earth Week. Thousands of small efforts across the county help prevent tons of litter from entering our creeks, bays and the ocean. As lead designer on this project, I was tasked with designing a new micro-site for the event, along with establishing new styling, fonts, and color choices that could potentially be used later on the main I Love a Clean San Diego (ILACSD) website.

I chose a blue (ocean) and green ( earth ) color palette to give the site an environmentally friendly atmosphere. Plant and ocean motifs were used throughout the site to fit the themes as well. A bold marker font, rustic beach textures and polaroid accents give a “grassroot” feeling. I aimed for a friendly, clean, modern design that could help greatly improve their previous signup process.
